Price's CandlesPrice's Patent Candles LTD began manufacturing candles in 1830. By 1859 Price's Candles were producing 130 differently names and specific size candles. By the end of the century the company was the largest maker of candles in the world. It was making inexpensive Stearine candles that burned almost as well as the expensive beeswax candles. Price's Candles have a long and close association with the Royal family, from the time when they launched their new composite candle and it coincided with the wedding of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert. Today Price's holds two Royal Warrants for the Queen and the Prince of Wales. But it does hold two more also, in the name of Charles Ferris, for the queen and, until recently, the Queen Mother. These Royal Warrants mean that Price's Patent Candles can supply candles to Royal State occasions. Price's candles hold 114 patents for its inventions. Explore our full range of Price's Candles.
