Singer Beyonce Knowles demanded a dressing room full of scented candles, flowers and chocolate for her appearance at the World Music Awards, according to the Daily Mirror.

The luxury-loving star also insisted on travelling in a new £30 million jet, turning down the refurbished plane offered to her by organisers.

A source told the newspaper: “Staff were told to give her whatever she wanted – including an Xbox, PSP, Jacuzzi and a pizza.

“She had scented candles, flowers, chocs and plasma screen TVs. It was no expense spared.”

Beyonce, 27, won best international female at the award ceremony, which she attended with younger sister Solange, who unfortunately missed out on the same VIP treatment and was reportedly forced to change in a glorified broom cupboard.

The star is undoubtedly a fan of candles as showbusiness reporter Dominic Bowden recently wrote that she had insisted on a candle-lit interview while introducing her new album I Am… Sasha Fierce.

She has described Sasha Fierce as her sexier, sassier on-stage alter-ego.
